Redeemer Serves...

In keeping with our mission statement to "Live, teach and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ," we seek to foster a climate that encourages our members to informally and spontaneously share Christ with one another and our surrounding communities. Redeemer offers a variety of ongoing outreach programs to suit various interests including monthly Red Cross Blood Drives, visiting Shut-Ins,  and sharing community volunteer opportunities with our members.  Examples of Commuity volunteering include: Habitat for Humanity, Local Food Banks, T.A.P., Animal Shelters, Operation Smile and the Rescue Mission.

The Congregation also participates in major outreach projects during the year.  These projects have included:  Relay for Life,  Lutheran Military Veterans and Families, Community Worship and Picnic, Children's Easter Eggstravaganza,  and Community Service Day.  For more information, please contact the church office at  330-799-7823, or email us.

Ladies Aid 2020
Ladies Aid

This group is about strengthening the bonds of friendship while serving our Lord and Savior.  From rummage sales to crocheting plastic bag rugs to decorating Christmas stockings for Akron Children's Hospital, there is an opportunity for every woman to share her God given talent in Christian fellowship.  Bereavement Luncheons are provided at the church by the Ladies Aid.

Ladies Aid meeting times are flexible to allow all to participate. Due to the COVID Pandemic, women are meeting for Fellowship at Redeemer every Tuesday at 10:00 AM, following social distancing guidelines. The third Tuesday of the month includes a business meeting and other meetings are scheduled as needed.  All women are encouraged to participate as their schedule allows.

For more information, please contact us.

In addition to the Ladies Aid group, all women of Redeemer are members of The Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML).  This ministry unites women across the United States with the common goal to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world.  For more information visit:  lwml.org

Fellowship  Committee

The Fellowship Committee organizes a Monthly Coffee Hour before Sunday Service; Advent and Lenten Dinners; Congregational Easter Breakfast; and  gatherings of the congregation throughout the year to further the goals of congregational fellowship.  Family night, plays, movie night, talent shows and game nights are just a few of the examples this committee provides to encourage meaningful personal relationships.

Couples Group

Redeemer's Couples Group is for all couples of all ages.  It meets on the third Sunday of the month, or as a particular activity is planned.  This group is both a discussion group, supporting each other as couples and a social group.  It focuses on what it means to be a couple with Christ at the center of the relationship. The current small group discussion is "The Art of Marriage" by Family Life.  Past activities include: Wine and Blooms tour in Geneva, OH; Scrapper games; and Mystery Dinner theater.
