Pastor Schinbeckler's short personal history, continued:
Before being ordained, Reverend Schinbeckler served the church as a long- time children's Sunday school teacher and adult Bible study instructor. He also served as congregational president and Chairperson of the Board for St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne for several years before transferring to Emmanuel Lutheran Church, also in Fort Wayne. At Emmanuel, he served on various boards and committees and led adult Bible studies. He is skilled in stewardship ministry and is a certified instructor for Crown Financial Ministries.
Pastor has been blessed to have a variety of vocational experiences over the course of his life to include musician, electrician, banking, sales, and entrepreneur. He also served in the United States Army for six years. Before entering seminary, pastor was President of American Laminating Co. of Indiana; a paper finishing company owned by him and his wife, Coleen. He served in that position for 18 years before selling the business in 2011 to attend seminary school full-time.
He has been married to Coleen for more than 45 years and they have two sons, Aaron David and Drew Adam. Pastor enjoys reading, playing chess, exercising, and traveling to new places with Coleen.
